“We’re excited to add the Notion One team and customer base to Dev IQ,” said Shawn Davison, Dev IQ’s Chief Executive Officer. “Software development is becoming more complex, there are more technology choices than ever, and the rate of change is accelerating. This acquisition strengthens our Microsoft and Azure cloud expertise and addresses a growing demand we see from our clients.”
According to a new Goldman Sachs spending survey of IT executives at the world’s largest public companies, Microsoft Azure is the cloud provider of choice for 56 percent of respondents. While Dev IQ already had deep experience building custom applications within Amazon’s Web Services (AWS) and Google’s Cloud Platform (GCP), it needed to expand its expertise in Azure cloud deployments. This acquisition will enable Dev IQ to fold in Notion One’s Microsoft and Azure talent and address the market needs and dynamics at play in the public cloud market.
“We are pleased to be joining the Dev IQ team,” said Eric Brown, co-founder of Notion One. “We are impressed with Dev IQ’s growth plans for the future and are excited to become part of it. We also share key business values – focusing on clients, our employees, and delivering significant business value through high quality solutions.”
The acquisition of Notion One brings a concentration of long standing client relationships. Notion One founders, Eric Brown and Tyler Brinks will join Dev IQ in leadership roles within the Microsoft practice.
